She Eats Nordstrom Marketplace Cafe

I bet you didn’t know that your favorite new hidden foodie gem is located in a fabulous store, and I know I’m not the only one out there who works up an appetite while shopping. Meet Marketplace Cafe, nestled into the third floor of Nordstrom in the Galleria Mall.  At Marketplace Cafe you’ll find a full menu, great desserts, a full beer and wine list, and even a secret breakfast menu that you can order off of any time.

We got to sample a variety of menu items, beginning with the soup of the day, a grilled corn and bacon chowder, and their infamous tomato basil soup (you can buy a jar to take home). Both are served with a crostini. We enjoyed our soup with a glass of Chloe’s Prosecco.

We got to sample the Garden Omelet off of the secret breakfast menu next. This menu isn’t advertised anywhere, but it’s available every day at any time if you ask for it. A little mid- morning shopping pairs perfectly with a nice omelet and mimosa.

For our meal, I had the Niçoise Salad with Wild Salmon, paired with a glass of Chateau St. Michelle’s Mimi Chardonnay (July’s featured wine of the month).

We also had the Chicken Tomato Alfredo with a glass of Drumheller Cabernet. We ate every last bite.

We finished off a lovely meal with a creme brûlée and a lemon ricotta cookie, with a warm mug of French Press coffee. The creme brûlée was one of the best I’ve had anywhere, and the lemon ricotta cookie has the texture and consistency of a delicious piece of lemon cake. Both were wonderful.

We had a wonderful meal in a place that we would not have thought of to look.  Whether you’re stopping in for a glass of wine with the girls or you’re looking for a bite to nibble on during your shopping adventures, Marketplace Cafe has you covered!
